Set in shadow of the impressive Howgills, in the heart of the Yorkshire dales, here at Scrogg house farm we converted a barn and an old smithy into a 2 bed and a 1 bed holiday cottage in July 2018. Since opening we have received both high praise (reviews) and high return rates of our guests, so we must be doing something right.

The properties have access to our two fields (sharing with our own animals), with fishing and wild swimming opportunities on the river Rawthey direct from our land. A footpath runs from our fields, along the river to Sedbergh (and on) – or up onto the Howgills.   We happily welcome well behaved dogs (contact us if you have any queries around this, as we have our own dogs and chickens that free range the farm).

The cottages are completed to a high standard, offsetting  period features, original exposed stone work & beams  with modern conveniences such as underfloor heating and spacious accommodation. To aid your stay we have included some additional facilities to help even when the weather turns against you ( a shared drying / laundry and dog / boot shower)
