Named after a previous farm owners Speight Cottage is a sympathetically converted old smithy / workers cottage with stunning views over the river Rawthey. This one bed cottage is set in a quiet corner of the Rawthey Valley, approx 1 mile outside the village of Sedbergh
The sympathetic conversion has exposed timbers and stonework and combines with modern conveniences of underfloor heating / modern kitchen and bathroom to give a exquisite combination of both old and new.
The location is centrally located for access to both the Yorkshire dales and the Lake district.(Kendal is a 12 miles, Hawes 16 miles).
The accommodation consists of a kingsize bed, combined kitchen living area – complete with wood burning stove in the old fireplace, and a shower room. Outside a patio seating area extends the living space with further views up and down the valley – complete with a hot tub installed to help you relax or to ease the strains of the local walks / runs over the Howgills or dales.
Up to 2 well behaved dogs are allowed, and to compliment the cottage a washing / drying room complete with dog shower is provided (shared with one other cottage on site).
Access from the property to the owners fields and the footpaths along the river Rawthey or up onto the Howgills.
